How can I be less than exstatic when I went in to Modesti's expecting to have to replace a battery and was charged, instead, $10 for a tiny broken switch that Danny, the customer service pro, spotted on the floor? My dear Honda, 230,000 miles and going strong, wouldn't light up at all one morning. The AAA guy said, "Your battery is really old. I'll jump you, but you probably need a new one." I toyed with the idea of going into Pep Boys for a battery that might be cheaper, but decided, instead, to give my money to an independant business. I told them what the AAA guy had said and Danny found the broken switch that had caused my brakelights to be on all night and drain the battery.I think that if I had gone to most places they would have just replaced the battery and it would have been drained by the brake light again. I don't know anything about cars, so I always take my car to Modesti's."A fifteen year fan"
Thanks Claire!
