"Having been told by my dealer that I needed new brakes and full fluid replacements, that they estimated at over a thousand dollars, I thought I'd check around. I found Modesti's, who told me that I DIDN'T need new brakes for a while, but that the fluids did need replacing. The job was done in a timely manner and for less than the dealership's quote. Their waiting room is clean, they have a gourmet coffee machine, and full wi-fi to boot. They looked at the car, at no charge and kept to their estimate."

"Modesti's specialty is Asian imports, and they've been servicing my family's Hondas and an Infiniti since 1994. I've had routine oil changes, brakes, timing belts, radiators replaced, engine mounts, alternators, plus some recommended preventative maintenance like fuel line and cooling system flushes. It's a family ran business, and they are the nicest people. All the work they do is of the highest quality. their prices are very competitive, and are much lower than any dealer would charge. They have something like a 99% satisfaction rating with AAA. Most of all, I trust them completely, and that's the most important thing! The facility and waiting room is very clean, the waiting room is pleasant, and all the employees seem very happy to be there. I can't recommend them highly enough!"

I feel very good about finding Modesti’s
We needed a good auto repair facility, as we are tired of being gouged at the Lexus dealership. I found Modesti's on Angie's List and called for an appointment for a 'minor service.' I was able to get an appointment quickly. The service representatives are very personable and knowledgeable. The waiting area is clean and they have a specialty coffee/tea machine. After about 45 minutes my service representative came in and made some recommendations. He said that my air filter and power steering fluid should be replaced … not necessarily at that time, but it was something that I should think about. I liked the fact that he didn’t tell me that I had to do the work right then…even so, I did ask if they could do the work that day and they did it without a problem. I saved a considerable amount over what the dealership would have charged and I got my car back faster. I feel very good about finding Modesti’s. I believe they are honest, knowledgeable and customer oriented. I was also happy to find out that they service more than just the Japanese brands, because I have a MINI and want them to take care of that too.

Never have to worry
I took my car to Modesti's after trying several other large and small shops in the area and am so glad I found them! Not only do they spend the necessary time figuring out the source of any problems, but they also explain the problem, how to fix it and the pricing to you in a way that anyone can understand. Though maintenance costs money, they acknowledge the life of your car and explain how it will help you keep it in good shape longer term. I never felt like I was being ripped off and didn't worry that I'd have to come back the next day for them to fix a mistake. Hopefully I won't have to go often, but it is reassuring to know that I can take my car to Modesti's for anything it needs!

Good work you can trust
I always like taking my car to Modesti's for service. The place is so clean, great waiting room, lots of great magazines to read while waiting. Or if you need a ride, they drive you in a nice clean car. They do good work that I can trust and I never feel over-charged. But the best part about Modesti's is that I've always felt comfortable there. I left my old mechanic's place because they spoke to me like they thought I was a stupid woman who could be manipulated into spending more money than I needed to. It is quite the opposite experience at Modesti's.

On the strong recommendation of a friend, I have used Modesti's for every service on my Nissan Murano since it was new. The service has always been excellent and prompt. The site is immaculate and the staff is uniformly helpful, honest and friendly. There is a clean waiting room well-stocked with magazines. Excellent coffee is complimentary. A clean bathroom is available. There is a courtesy shuttle van that not only drove me home but also picked me up to retrieve my car! Prices are competitive. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Superior work

Honest assessments
I used to live in Culver City and then Torrance, then Norwalk, then Monterey Park. This is one of only two establishments that I still drive back for and continue to patronize. Why? Basically, I have never been ripped off or even suspected I was. They are really good about estimates, calling if there is a change and giving honest assessments if something they find can be safely put off until the next visit (I am pretty regular about oil changes and routine maintenance). I've been using Modesti's for about 12 years. My ex's family for maybe 12 more before that (not sure). That's gotta tell you something.

They're amazing!
I personally hate anything related to cars. My father was a mechanic when I was a kid and tried to teach me how to fix cars. Since I was an only child with a single dad, he dragged me to every auto repair shop and parts store in the county. Now that I have a car that is older and needing work, I have been to a couple different auto repair places for fixes from here to San Diego. I have to say that Modesti's is hands down the cleanest, most professional auto repair I have EVER been to. Jonathan & Nick are so amazingly nice and professional. Even the cleaning guy walks around whistling pretty songs. They explained everything in a way for me to understand exactly what is going on with my car, what is desperately needed and what can wait. These guys are AMAZING!!! I will honestly never go anywhere else and will recommend this place to everyone I know!!!!

I love these guys! They are the best in town and have five-star service from the time you drive on their lot. Great family business
Great family business. They have your car repaired on time. They have a shuttle that will take you home and pick you up when your car is ready. I was very satisfied with the work they did to my car. The staff is SUPER NICE AND FUNNY! As a young lady, I don't know much about cars; therefore it's hard to find a shop that will not rip you off or explain detail by detail what they are doing your car.
